Across Nepal’s Upper Khumbu Valley, approximately 4,000 people live in remote mountain communities accessible only on foot—often requiring days of trekking at extreme altitude. For these families, reaching a doctor can mean a journey that is physically demanding, time-consuming, and often simply out of reach.
For older adults, children, and people living with chronic illness, the journey to a clinic can be impossible. When patients cannot reach care, care must reach them — or they go without.

We don't believe a medical camp should be a one-time encounter. The MediLoop™ creates a continuous cycle of care, allowing patients in remote Himalayan communities to receive treatment, follow-up and ongoing support.
Our Community Model
Built in partnership with local service clubs, the model combines SLIM's medical expertise, physicians and medicines with local volunteers and community support. This allows a small SLIM team to extend care to more people, while keeping administrative costs low and resources focused where they matter most: on patients.
